From preparation to integration - what to expect step by step

For many people, the unknown is the most intimidating part.

They are curious about Sadhu Boards… but they don’t know what the session actually looks like.

Will it be intense from the start? Will they be pushed? Will they be prepared?

The truth is: a proper Sadhu session is not just about standing on the boards. It is a guided process, where each step prepares you for the next.

A Sadhu Board Session Ritual

In my sessions, especially the transformative format, the boards are only one part of the process.

We don’t jump into intensity immediately.

We prepare the body, the mind, and the intention; so that the experience becomes not just manageable, but meaningful.

At the same time, no session is exactly the same.

While there is a clear structure that I follow, each session is adapted to the person or the group in front of me.

In individual sessions, I adjust the process to your emotional state, your goals, and what you need in that moment.

In group sessions, the flow can also be shaped around a shared intention - whether it’s stress relief, team connection, emotional release, or personal growth.

So while the foundation remains consistent, the experience is always alive and responsive.

1. Opening & Intention Setting

Every session begins with grounding.

We slow down. We arrive into the space.

Participants are invited to reflect on a simple question:

Why are you here?

This doesn’t need to be complicated.

It can be:

• releasing stress

• letting go of something heavy

• reconnecting with yourself

• building confidence

• or simply being curious

This intention becomes a quiet anchor throughout the session.

2. Breathwork & Nervous System Preparation

Before stepping onto the boards, we work with breath.

This is essential.

Breath is the main tool that helps regulate the experience later.

We use simple techniques to:

• slow down the nervous system

• bring attention into the body

• create a sense of safety

• prepare for intensity without fear

By the time participants approach the boards, they already feel more grounded.

3. Physical Warm-Up

The body also needs preparation.

We activate the feet, gently wake up the body, and bring awareness into posture.

This step helps:

• reduce unnecessary tension

• improve stability

• make the transition onto the boards smoother

It’s simple but very important.

4. Stepping Onto the Boards

This is the moment many people anticipate the most.

And it is always done slowly and consciously.

Participants are guided step by step:

• how to place their feet

• how to distribute weight

• how to use their breath

• how to stay present

There is no rush.

No pressure.

Only guidance.

5. Walking on the Boards

For those who feel ready, there is an optional step:

Walking across the boards.

This moment is often symbolic.

It represents:

• moving through fear

• trusting yourself in motion

• stepping forward instead of staying stuck

It is never forced, only offered.

6. Standing & Holding the Experience

In transformative sessions, participants stay on the boards for around 40 minutes.

This is where the deeper work happens.

At first, the mind reacts.

But gradually, through breath and guidance, something shifts.

During this phase, we work with:

• staying present in sensation

• releasing resistance

• reconnecting with the body

• softening emotional tension

• building self-trust

Depending on the intention of the session, this stage can also include work around self-love, letting go of emotional weight, or reconnecting with inner clarity.

7. Stepping Off & Integration

Stepping off the boards is also guided.

This moment is important.

Participants often feel relief, lightness, calm or clarity.

We take time to notice these sensations, rather than rushing away from them.

8. Closing & Reflection

At the end of the session, we return to stillness.

Participants are invited to reflect on their experience.

Not analytically but gently.

What did you notice?

What shifted?

What stayed with you?

This helps integrate the experience into daily life.

More Than a Fixed Method

When people understand the full structure, they often feel reassured.

Because Sadhu Boards are not about being thrown into intensity.

They are about being guided through it step by step, in a way that adapts to you.

With preparation.

With awareness.

With support.

A Safe Space to Experience Something Real

Each part of the session has a purpose.

Not to challenge you blindly but to help you reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more honest way.

And when the process is approached like this, the boards become not something to fear…

but something to experience with curiosity and trust.
